Luut Nar (Dragon Sun) tour camp is derived from the original name of its founder Luutai and his wife Naraa. The camp is situated 115 km north of Ulaanbaatar and is reached by turning West from the main AH3 road leading to Darkhan some 4 km after the turn to Bor Nuur and almost opposite the Urkhan service area. After leaving the main road follow the unmade road way for 6km and Luut Nar is the first large ger camp you will come to easily seen set on the hillside. .
Each ger accommodates up to four people at (USA) $40/night per ger. Each ger is supplied with fresh bedding and has a stove, electricity and a kettle. Fresh water is provided from our own on site deep well. Our site also includes a basketball court, volleyball pitch and limited Wi-Fi access. While we do not provide meals as a routine requirement this can be negotiated on an ad hoc basis and we can help with shopping from Bor Nuur or the service station on the main road.
If required we can meet you at the airport or train station on your arrival or at your hotel and transport you direct to the camp. For the completely independent traveller there is a bus station at the Urkan service area where buses can be caught to take you to Ulaanbaatar or onwards to Darkhan
Luut Nar is situated in the beautiful Dugan nature reserve surrounded by Mongolian herders and horses and only 23 km form the Aglag Buteelin Khiid Monastery.
